Alex Crane eliminates 100% of plastic polybags with EcoEnclose

Alex Crane, a men's apparel brand, sought to eliminate plastic polybags from its apparel supply chain in alignment with its natural material ethos. The challenge was to find a protective, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional LDPE plastic bags. EcoEnclose partnered with the brand, implementing a solution using Sway's seaweed-based polybags.

EcoEnclose facilitated a pilot of Sway Polybags for the Rama Board Shorts line. The solution successfully replaced plastic without compromising garment protection. Results included the elimination of over 300 plastic units, 100% customer preference for the new bags, and a significant increase in conversion rates on the product page. The successful pilot led Alex Crane to plan a full rollout of the seaweed-based packaging across its operations.
