ecobee’s Energy Management System (EMS) gave Taco Bell centralized visibility and control over thermostats through a web portal, with limits on temperature adjustments to help prevent waste. The result was significant savings, including 8–12% energy reduction at one store over 10 months, plus added protection for food inventory through remote sensor alerts in walk-in fridges and freezers.
