Eclipse PPM helped the City of London make better project decisions within the IT Project Portfolio

The City of London, Ontario (population ~366,000) needed a better way to manage IT work across its 77-person Technology Services Division. Budget pressures and a lack of a central project repository meant decisions were often based on incomplete information, reporting was time-consuming, and time tracking and basic project metrics were difficult to produce.

The city implemented Upland’s Eclipse PPM to centralize its IT project portfolio, starting with the most visible projects. Eclipse now houses all projects, gives senior IT management real-time portfolio visibility, provides standardized and ad hoc reporting with a few clicks, and simplifies time tracking—enabling more informed project prioritization and more efficient resource management.
