Midwest Lumber & Supply, a Butler, Missouri–based lumber and supply company, was struggling to manage rapid growth from expansions and acquisitions while relying on paper-based records and manual end-of-day and end-of-month processing. To address those challenges the company implemented Spruce from ECI Software Solutions.

ECI Software Solutions deployed Spruce to centralize document management, automate EOD/EOM tasks, and provide real-time reporting, enabling Midwest Lumber & Supply to add two locations (growing from two to four) and integrate a truss plant and door shop without disruption. Since going live in July 2011, the company reports more than 40% sales growth, faster automated processes that replaced hours of manual work, improved inventory and margin management, and company-wide access to documents and insights.
