Serapid, a Sterling Heights manufacturer of precision movement systems, was creating Bills of Material from SolidWorks CAD models via manual spreadsheets and importing them into a master purchasing file. Small jobs took about an hour to process, larger jobs were often too complex to enter, and a failed third‑party CAD BOM importer left Serapid turning to its ERP supplier, ECI Software Solutions, and its JobBOSS product for a better solution.
