Design Ready Controls, a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of control panels and wiring harnesses, faced rapid growth that required an ERP system new employees could pick up quickly and that its engineers could customize. To meet those needs the company selected M1 ERP from ECI Software Solutions, aiming for an easy-to-use, scalable platform that could be tailored to their processes.

ECI Software Solutions implemented M1 ERP across nearly every module, providing an integrated architecture that allowed Design Ready Controls’ engineers to pull two proprietary systems (APE and AME) into M1 and streamline quoting, BOMs, shop-floor instructions and quality checks. The result: a short learning curve for new hires, smooth integration of custom tools, and measurable scale — the company grew from about 30 to 300+ employees with operations in multiple states, averages ~15% annual sales growth, and now has some 225–250 daily M1 users (40 full licenses) driving more efficient operations.
