Kemco Manufacturing, a St. Louis–based aerospace parts producer, set out to diversify from Department of Defense work and become a global contract manufacturer but faced limited MRP, poor shop-floor visibility, long cycle times and high setup errors. To modernize operations and support lean transformation, Kemco turned to ECI Software Solutions’ JobBOSS business management software (integrated with Amplify Technologies’ APSS) for quoting-to-shipping control, scheduling and material planning.

ECI Software Solutions implemented JobBOSS and integrated dashboards via APSS to give Kemco full MRP, routings and exception-based project visibility, which streamlined procurement and customer reporting. The results were dramatic: on-time delivery climbed to 95.6% (2005) and 99.8% (2006), cycle time fell by 40% (100→60), set-up errors dropped 50%, customer-status reporting time was cut in half, and Kemco earned aerospace ISO certification and multiple industry awards.
