Gamma Vacuum, a 23-person ion pump manufacturer in Shakopee, Minnesota, needed a job-shop management solution after spinning off in 2003 so it could compete with much larger rivals while maintaining high quality, delivery and service. ECI Software Solutions implemented the JobBOSS suite and helped Gamma migrate to Microsoft SQL 2008 for Synergy Enterprise, enabling automated workflows, improved reporting (SSRS) and real‑time business activity monitoring. The solution cut administrative overhead (estimated as the equivalent of two full‑time people), automated quote follow-ups and other tasks, and supported sustained growth—Gamma has achieved about 8% revenue growth annually and now owns roughly one‑third of the $25M market while keeping costs down.
