Subcontract fabricator doubles sales revenues with M1

Seeco (UK) Ltd, a Bedford-based subcontract fabricator specialising in precision sheet metal, was hampered by an inflexible, fragmented business-management setup that limited response times and growth. To address these issues, Seeco installed ECi’s M1 manufacturing ERP software (M1) to unify quoting, orders, production planning and real-time shop-floor data collection.

M1 was deployed across sales, jobs, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, labour capture, invoicing and quality—with bespoke customisations using M1’s design studio. The outcome: over ten years Seeco doubled sales from about £500k to £1.2m while reducing staff from 16 to 12 (25% fewer employees), achieved faster customer response and improved on-time delivery, and recorded its best six months’ trading in 25 years—results Seeco attributes directly to M1.
