A Echo360 Case Study
The University of Toledo wanted to improve course completion, reduce DFWI rates, and better engage today’s students, whose needs differ from those of past generations. To help address this challenge, the university turned to Echo360 active learning technology and lecture capture to make classes more interactive while keeping faculty in control of how they teach.
Echo360 implemented an active learning platform that lets instructors ask questions, collect responses on students’ mobile devices, and get immediate feedback on understanding. The university says the approach is helping it become more data-driven, with early results showing dramatic improvement in middle-range grades and stronger faculty adoption—around 200 instructors are now using Echo360—while more than 400 online courses have been supported through the platform.
