A Echo360 Case Study
The University of Adelaide, a leading research university with a 142‑year history, set out to shift from traditional lectures to active learning across all courses. Having used an in‑house lecture capture system for 13 years, the university needed a next‑generation platform that went beyond video capture to support flipped learning, small‑group activities and greater student engagement.
Echo360 was rapidly implemented across campuses with minimal disruption, using an opt‑out recording model and easy tools for lecturers to pause, restart and share sessions. The platform enabled new teaching techniques, improved accessibility (playback speed and captioning plans), and saw heavy uptake — students viewed 138,000 hours of content in one month — helping the university meet its active‑learning goals and boost student satisfaction.
