Helping International Students Succeed with Lecture Capture and Active Learning

Trinity College, an affiliate of the University of Melbourne, needed a better way to support international students—many of whom are non-native English speakers—with lecture capture, revision, and more engaging classroom participation. The college also wanted to move beyond audio-only recordings and create a smoother experience for both students and instructors using Echo360.

Echo360 provided Trinity College with cloud-hosted lecture capture and active learning tools, including linked slides, polling, anonymous Q&A, quizzes, and time-synced notes. The rollout was simple and is now used by about 50 instructors across most courses, with positive feedback from students and staff. Trinity College reports increased engagement, richer analytics for instructors, and growing demand for more interactive lectures.
