Engineering Students Get a Head Start with Activity Led Learning

Coventry University in the United Kingdom has spent more than five years pioneering activity-led learning, but its Aerospace Engineering program needed a better way to help students master complex CAD and simulation software before and during hands-on tutorial sessions. The university turned to Echo360 lecture capture and video tools to support pre-tutorial learning, allowing students to prepare for project work more independently.

Using Echo360, instructors recorded short, focused videos that students could watch before class and replay during tutorials while working on design projects. The result was more efficient class time, fewer repetitive questions, and stronger independent learning; students found the videos “massively helpful,” and the Echo360 analytics helped the instructor identify confusing topics and re-record content as needed.
