Hutchinson Credit Union - Customer Case Study

Hutchinson Credit Union, a community-based credit union in Hutchinson, Kansas with $145 million in assets and thousands of online-banking members, needed more reliable Internet connectivity, independence from a single ISP, and control over DNS settings. They were also losing and misusing bandwidth under a two-circuit setup that required manual failover. To address these issues they engaged Ecessa and implemented Ecessa’s PowerLink solution.

Ecessa deployed PowerLink to provide automatic failover, aggregate and optimize multiple circuits for both inbound and outbound traffic, and enable the credit union to leverage their full bandwidth capacity. As a result, Hutchinson Credit Union now runs three different ISPs from varied locations and technologies, has eliminated manual circuit switching, gained flexibility to add or remove connections, and freed IT staff from constant outage response while improving redundancy and overall network performance.
