Trans States Airlines, a St. Louis–based carrier operating roughly 237 routes daily for United Express and American Eagle, needed 24/7 reliable voice and data connectivity to support flight operations, crew communications and FAA requirements. After deploying a backup carrier and dual MPLS links, their planned BGP failover didn’t work, leaving the airline exposed to outages that could ground flights.
