Penske, a $19 billion global transportation operation with more than 39,000 employees, needed to replace paper-based checks, reviews, and audits across its 700+ maintenance depots in the US truck leasing division. Management wanted a smarter, technology-based approach, and selected ECAT Group after reviewing solutions globally.
ECAT Group implemented a system for Penske that provided real-time information, online training, smartphone and tablet access, territory-based setup, and reporting tailored to different managers. The rollout expanded to 250 users, more than 200 monthly reviews at 700 locations, and tracking of more than 2,000 tasks from initiation to completion, turning Penske’s Location Maintenance Review process into a faster, more automated, and more transparent operation.
