Adlai Stevenson High School wanted to help students find high-quality library resources more efficiently and improve research success. Working with EBSCO, the school used EBSCO Discovery Service as a single search box to replace the limitations of general web searching and make it easier for students to locate relevant academic sources.

EBSCO implemented ILC Search/EBSCO Discovery Service with features like filters, article previews, subject searching, and permalinks for NoodleTools. The results were strong: library usage rose significantly, with nearly 33,000 full-text downloads from January to April 2016 versus 14,000 in the prior four months, more than doubling usage, while students reported that the tool was “better than Google.”
