Securian Financial Network, the distribution arm for Minnesota Life Insurance Company, needed a web-based agency management tool to replace its existing Windows-based system from Ebix CRM. Their challenge was to provide centralized CRM access to their field offices, reduce the need for local IT support, and find a solution better suited for managing at the agency level rather than just for individual advisors.

Ebix CRM implemented its SmartOffice for Agency Management solution. This provided a standardized, browser-based platform that streamlined agency processes, helped cross-sell products, and supported a significant increase in fee-based financial planning. The results included more efficient firm management and a successful initial rollout, with a target to have all firms using the system by mid-2005.
