The customer, a major wireless carrier in California, contracted EBI Consulting to conduct radio frequency electromagnetic (RF-EME) modeling. The challenge was to ensure that a proposed installation of three telecommunications antennas in a suburban area would comply with FCC Maximum Permissible Exposure limits, with nearby buildings only 65 feet from the site.

EBI Consulting utilized its RoofMaster™ software to perform theoretical modeling, calculating the worst-case power density and exposure levels. EBI determined the antenna placement was adequate, meeting all FCC and OSHA requirements with no exceedances at ground level. The solution included a detailed Site Safety Plan with recommendations for signage and barriers, and EBI established a safe public distance of four feet from the antenna face.
