Firechief® Global reduces inventory value by 12% while simultaneously reducing stockouts

Firechief® Global, a third‑generation UK manufacturer and wholesaler of commercial and domestic fire safety equipment, was struggling to manage a couple of thousand SKUs. Their Orderwise ERP lacked the forecasting sophistication they needed, so historical-only demand signals left them with frequent stockouts and unnecessarily high inventory. Head of Supply Chain Sean Hutchinson selected EazyStock’s inventory optimization software and Customer Success service to add the advanced forecasting and replenishment capabilities missing from their system.

EazyStock integrated with Orderwise, applied advanced forecasting (seasonality, trends, promotions), ABC‑XYZ analysis and automated replenishment while providing hands‑on support from named Customer Success managers. The result: a 77% reduction in items at risk of running out (from ~48 to 11 SKUs), 44% fewer stockouts (8% to 4.5%), 33% reduction in stock days (221 to 148) and a 12% cut in inventory value to about £2.2m — plus eliminated weekly stock meetings and reduced daily ordering time to a few hours a week.
