Reliable Power Distribution In Russia

Eaton helped Danieli Volga, a subsidiary of the Danieli Group, overcome the challenge of creating a safe, reliable, and compact power distribution system for its new machine-building plant in Russia. The project required a solution with a minimal risk of internal arcing for personnel safety and a very small physical footprint due to severe space constraints at the facility.

The implemented solution featured Eaton's compact, SF6-free Xiria medium-voltage switchgear. This equipment provided maximum operational safety through visible status monitoring and a high number of safety locks, and its small dimensions perfectly fit the confined space. The results for Danieli Volga included a substantially reduced risk of equipment failure, enhanced safety for personnel and the production chain, and a power system that was both environmentally friendly and reliable even in difficult commissioning conditions.
