EvoBus GmbH, a major European bus manufacturer, needed a durable and flexible refrigerant hose for its bus air-conditioning systems. The challenge was to connect a roof-mounted unit to an engine-mounted compressor that moved significantly during operation, which caused standard hoses to fail and leak refrigerant prematurely. They partnered with vendor Eaton to find a solution using the FC800 EverCool hose.

Eaton developed the FC800 EverCool hose specifically for this application, offering high flexibility, heat resistance, and an extremely low permeation rate. This solution allowed for the necessary engine movement and could be installed in tight spaces. The result was a dramatically increased service life, with the hoses now lasting for years instead of months, significantly reducing replacement costs for EvoBus.

EvoBus
