OneSubsea, a Houston-based oil and gas company, needed a highly reliable UPS to clean up extremely dirty power at an offshore drilling operation 65 miles south of New Orleans. Eaton’s 5PX UPS, paired with Eaton Intelligent Power Software, delivered clean, dependable power, monitoring capabilities, and enough runtime to support a safe shutdown during an outage. The solution offered up to 45 minutes of backup time, battery management features, and remote status visibility, helping OneSubsea keep operations flowing and monitor input/output voltages more easily. OneSubsea reported that the Eaton 5PX exceeded expectations and provided everything needed for a safe, timely shutdown.
