The customer, NDS Konzept GmbH, faced the challenge of developing a photovoltaic (PV) system to reduce operating costs and create a demonstration installation for Eaton's products. Eaton provided its expertise and components, including ISG series power inverters and SOL30-SAFETY PV fireman's switches, to address this need.

The solution implemented by Eaton was a 24 kWp PV installation on their Bonn office building. This system, with a 165 m² panel area, is expected to produce 22,000 kWh of electricity annually. A key result was a calculated amortization period of under six years for the investment. Furthermore, the installation serves as a live showcase for Eaton's PV product portfolio and contributes to the company's sustainability goals.
