EFC S.r.l., a manufacturer of bottling machinery, needed to simplify the complex wiring and improve diagnostics on its Triblocco 981 MXS machine to ease maintenance and increase reliability. To address this challenge, they worked with system integrator Micro Automazione and vendor Eaton, who proposed a solution based on the SmartWire-DT communication system.

Eaton’s solution used its SmartWire-DT technology to connect all components with a single cable, eliminating traditional point-to-point wiring. This implementation, which included Eaton's Easy800 control relay and other devices, resulted in a 30% reduction in installation time. The improved diagnostics also made maintenance easier and provided greater flexibility for future machine modifications, fully meeting EFC's expectations.
