Maudlin Idealease, a Jacksonville, Florida truck rental and leasing company, needed to help its medium-duty leasing customers reduce fuel and maintenance costs. Working with Eaton, the company looked for a way to make trucks more economical and easier to operate, especially for fleets on long lease terms.
Eaton provided its UltraShift HV automated transmission, designed for Class 6 and 7 trucks. The result was up to a two-mile-per-gallon fuel economy improvement and zero service needed for the life of the lease, with customers also benefiting from fewer maintenance concerns and no clutch service.
