Case Study: NetRiver achieves 99% UPS efficiency and major energy savings with Eaton

Green without compromise, with the industry’s most efficient UPS

NetRiver, a collocation and interconnection provider in Lynnwood, Washington, needed to deliver 1.5 megawatts of clean, computer-grade power in its data center while improving efficiency, scalability, and footprint. To meet that challenge, it turned to Eaton for a high-efficiency power protection solution, including Eaton 9395 UPSs with Energy Saver System (ESS) technology, along with PDUs, rack power panels, and service support.

Eaton implemented three 550 kVA 9395 UPSs that achieved 99 percent efficiency across load ranges, helping NetRiver cut an estimated $110,000 in annual utility costs and secure nearly $100,000 in utility rebates. The smaller footprint and scalable design also freed up valuable data center space, while improving the facility’s PUE to 1.3 and earning NetRiver a BetterBricks Award for energy efficiency.
