A Eaton Case Study
Phoenix Curb Machines, an Oregon-based manufacturer of compact curbing machines, required a precise electronic control solution to enhance the concrete slipform paving process for their rugged on-highway vehicles. To solve this challenge, they worked with Eaton and its distributor to implement a custom controller using Eaton's Pro-FX electronic controls and software.
Eaton's solution utilized their Pro-FX HFX programmable controllers and VFX displays to create the iTerra platform, a next-generation digital controller. This provided operators with a single, intuitive interface for machine control, resulting in more precise and efficient curbing application. The project was completed in just five weeks, and the technology was so successful it was deployed on 40 machines in the first year, significantly reducing job completion times and machine downtime.
