A Eaton Case Study
Miller Electric needed to package a diesel engine, hydraulic pump, belt-driven air compressor, and 6,000-watt generator into a very small 2' x 3' x 4' space for heavy-duty service trucks. Eaton supplied the hydraulic components, including Eaton 420 pumps and Vickers valves, to help make the compact self-contained power system possible.
Eaton’s solution enabled Miller Electric’s EnPak Mechanic Series to combine functions that traditionally required a much larger PTO-driven setup into a single compact unit. The Eaton 420 pump’s small size and load-sensing capability, along with custom hose assemblies from Eaton distributor Price Engineering, helped improve packaging, simplify flow control, and support flexible open-center or closed-center configurations.
