Eaton variable frequency drives enable revolutionary greenhouse waste recycling plant

AR3C International, a management company for innovative greenhouse waste recycling plants, required variable frequency drives to power a complex, self-sufficient facility. Their challenge was to maximize the flexibility and efficiency of their material handling equipment, which had to constantly adapt to the changing composition of waste while remaining synchronized for optimal output. They turned to Eaton for a solution using their DG1 variable frequency drives.

Eaton implemented over 100 DG1 drives to power conveyors, presses, fans, and pumps, providing the precise and flexible process control needed. This solution allowed AR3C to fully realize its carbon-neutral plant design, where nearly 98% of agricultural waste is repurposed instead of sent to landfills. The project had a positive impact on AR3C's bottom line by saving money across the board on labor and operations. Eaton's technology was integral to creating this first-of-its-kind recycling coordination system.
