Eaton provides BlueFjords data center with power that’s efficient and expandable

BlueFjords, a new data center in Luster, Norway, needed a highly scalable power solution that could deliver outstanding energy efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of resilience and uninterrupted availability. Eaton was selected to help address the challenge with a protected power architecture centered on its Power Xpert 9395P UPS technology.

Eaton implemented two 275 kVA Power Xpert 9395P UPSs in a redundant A+B configuration, using Energy Saver System (ESS) mode for up to 99% efficiency and HotSync for safe, easy expansion without a single point of failure, plus Eaton low-voltage distribution switchgear with TABULA systems. The result was a system that was easy to install and commission, operated flawlessly for more than nine months, and exceeded design targets including 100% availability.
