Eaton Goes The Extra Mile For Vac-Con, Inc

Vac-Con, Inc., a Green Cove Springs, Florida manufacturer of vacuum and hydro excavation equipment for municipal sewer cleaning, needed to move a prototype pump into production quickly after its traditional supplier could not meet demand. Eaton’s 760 Series hydrostatic pump had already shown better performance in testing, but it was not yet available as a standard production item.

Eaton, working with Hydraulic Supply Company of Jacksonville, expedited production and delivered the first 760 Series pumps within two months of the order. The result was a successful rollout of the Eaton 760 Series, with Vac-Con ultimately installing more than 250 pumps and partnering with Eaton on development of a next-generation 160 cc/rev model that fits the same footprint for easier upgrades and improved fuel efficiency.
