Eaton energizes regional growth for grocery chain

The customer, Food City, a major grocery chain, sought an electrical distribution solution to support rapid expansion with unique demands for compact, intelligent equipment that could integrate into their building management system. To reduce costs and complexity for future projects, they needed a replicable model and a dependable vendor partner, leading them to Eaton.

Eaton implemented a customized power solution featuring its Integrated Facility Systems (IFS) switchboard with mounted transformers and a centralized 9355 UPS. This consolidated equipment into a single, space-saving package that was pre-wired and tested, speeding installation and reducing costs. The result was a robust, easily replicated system that eliminated nearly 25 smaller UPS units per location, simplified maintenance, and provided reliable power for the entire facility, enabling Food City's continued growth.
