Eaton enables both lean operations and rapid growth

ROOT Data Center, a colocation provider in Montreal, needed a UPS and related power infrastructure for its new Tier 3 facility that could deliver the highest levels of availability, redundancy, efficiency, and service. The company also wanted a small footprint and support for a 415/240-volt environment to maximize space and lower costs. Eaton was selected, with the Power Xpert 9395 UPS, Energy Saver System, Remote Power Panels, and service among the key offerings considered.

Eaton implemented a high-efficiency, high-density power platform centered on the Power Xpert 9395 UPS and RPPs, enabling ROOT Data Center to eliminate transformers, improve efficiency, and support scalable growth. The solution helped ROOT save about 5% on total build cost, improve overall efficiency by about 3%, and reduce power distribution costs by more than 20%, while also supporting up to 99% UPS efficiency in Energy Saver System mode. With Eaton’s service and scalable equipment in place, ROOT improved uptime, preserved floor space, and was able to expand quickly as demand grew.
