Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts (DNC) manages concessions and transportation services at Yosemite National Park, where it needed to reduce its carbon footprint without disrupting visitor experiences or harming the park’s environment. Eaton provided the hybrid electric power systems used in DNC’s pickup/delivery and shuttle vehicles.

Eaton’s hybrid tractors and shuttle buses replaced older propane trucks and other vehicles, helping DNC improve efficiency and emissions performance. The tram tractors averaged about 6.7 miles per gallon versus roughly 1 mile per gallon previously, delivering significant fuel savings and visible emission reductions across Yosemite National Park.
