Case Study: PGE Arena Gdansk achieves reliable, UEFA-compliant power distribution with Eaton

A Eaton Case Study

Preview of the PGE Arena Gdansk Case Study

Complete Solution from Eaton Meets UEFA Standard

The PGE Arena Gdansk, a major sports and event facility, required a robust electrical system for its operations that could meet the demanding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards set by UEFA. To address this challenge, they partnered with Eaton to develop two new transformer stations using a comprehensive power distribution solution.

Eaton implemented a solution featuring XIRIA medium-voltage switchgear, xEnergy low-voltage switchboards, and an XP2500A busbar trunking system. This was complemented by an intelligent offload system and over 240 distribution boards to ensure a highly reliable and selective power supply. The result was a system that successfully powered the arena through major events like the UEFA EURO 2012 championship. Eaton provided a reliable and innovative solution that met all the stringent requirements of the investor and UEFA.
