A Eaton Case Study
CoSentry, a data center services and colocation provider based in Omaha with operations in Sioux Falls and other Midwest locations, needed to replace an aging UPS as its client base and power demands grew rapidly. Because its customers require extremely high uptime and security, even brief downtime was unacceptable, and CoSentry also wanted a solution that delivered strong reliability, a lower upfront cost, and better energy efficiency.
CoSentry chose the Eaton 9395 UPS, a modular system with built-in N+1 redundancy, Hot Sync technology, and easy capacity load testing. With Eaton, CoSentry gained “two for the price of one” redundancy, expanded with a pay-as-you-grow approach, reduced installation and freight costs thanks to the unit’s small footprint, and improved efficiency by more than 10% over its previous UPS, with potential to reach 99% efficiency using Eaton Energy Saver System.
