John Brooks Company, a custom packaging manufacturer for personal care products, was facing a significant challenge with its wastewater filtration process at its Etobicoke plant. The labor-intensive filter press they used required changing pads twice daily, causing three hours of daily downtime and exposing workers to contaminants. Eaton's distributor, John Brooks Company, identified this issue and proposed a solution.

Eaton implemented its DCF-800 mechanically cleaned filter to replace the outdated filter press. The solution completely eliminated the daily downtime and the associated labor and material costs. The savings in labor alone allowed the DCF-800 to pay for itself in less than a year. This successful application led the customer to install an Eaton filter on another line, and Eaton now supplies 100% of the company's liquid filtration products.
