Allure of the Seas is a sailing city with UPS protection

Royal Caribbean International needed reliable, clean, and safe power for the Allure of the Seas, one of the world’s largest and most advanced cruise ships. Eaton provided marine UPS protection for critical ship systems, including navigation equipment, ship automation, emergency power, lighting, and commercial applications.

Eaton implemented more than 20 double-conversion online marine UPSs, including 9395, 9390, 9355, and 9155 models, plus its Energy Saver System (ESS) technology and Intelligent Power Manager software. The solution was delivered and installed on schedule, and ESS helped achieve up to 99 percent efficiency, saving tens of thousands of dollars in energy costs each year.
