A Power Protection Solution Fit for Success

Cutter & Buck, a Seattle-based sportswear company, needed a more reliable uninterruptible power supply after experiencing two UPS failures that caused downtime in its distribution center. As the company also planned to move development servers into the same facility to support growth, it turned to Eaton and its BladeUPS product for a scalable power protection solution.

Eaton implemented a modular BladeUPS setup with two 12kW modules, extended battery modules, and IBM AS400 communication support for orderly shutdowns. The result was improved power reliability and availability, 12kW of power in just 6U of rack space, and an architecture that can scale up to 60kW in a single rack while helping Cutter & Buck reduce energy and cooling costs.
