A Easyship Case Study
FLX Bike, founded by Rob and Pete and launched via a successful Indiegogo campaign that raised $1.7M, struggled to ship heavy, battery-powered e-bikes worldwide — facing different regulations, tariffs and costly surprises (including an $800 shipping loss to Hawaii and several hand-delivered orders). Seeking a better way, FLX Bike found Easyship on the Shopify app store and adopted Easyship’s shipping automation tools, label printing, pickup scheduling and tariff/fees visibility to manage their complex international logistics.
Easyship automated nearly every step of FLX Bike’s fulfillment process — from printing labels and scheduling pickups to surfacing customs costs — enabling FLX Bike to move to same-day dispatch of in-stock bikes and send replacement components within hours or minutes. The result was fewer errors and man-hours wasted, avoidance of repeat costly shipping surprises like the $800 losses, higher ROI, faster customer service and the ability to scale the brand internationally.
