TRYP Hotels Worldwide, celebrating the opening of its first New York Times Square property, wanted to engage its Facebook audience with a high-impact promotion — a one-week trip for two to NYC with flights and $2,000 spending money — and rapidly grow its fan base. To run the campaign they partnered with Easypromos and used the Easypromos White Label platform to manage the promotion.
Easypromos implemented a text-based contest asking fans “What would you spend the $2,000 on in New York?” with a voting-and-invite mechanic to drive virality, and TRYP used a sweepstake among the top entrants to limit fraud. The Easypromos solution doubled TRYP’s fans in five days and finished with more than three times the original fan count; People Talking About rose from just over 300 to a peak of more than 7,000.
