La Trobe University needed a fresh, COVID-safe way to drive engagement and capture leads when it returned to Victoria’s VCE and Careers Expo. Working with Easypromos, the university built a “Test your clever” Timed Quiz (Pop Quiz mode) to attract students to their new stand and replace previous physical activations.

Using Easypromos’ Timed Quiz delivered via QR codes, La Trobe ran a 10-question, 15-second-per-question game with score-based prizes; the activation generated 3,560 registrants over four days—more than four times their usual event sign-ups—and accumulated over three days’ worth of playtime. Easypromos’ easy setup (Excel import of questions) and fast support helped the team scale the campaign, reduce queues and touchpoints by letting students play on their phones, and capture leads to feed the university’s mailing list.
