How to Engage Sports Event Audience

Red Sky at Night Events, an Edinburgh and London-based agency specializing in sports presentation and fan activation, was asked to capture and showcase the spike in #ThisIsNetball posts during the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup. To aggregate and moderate Instagram and Twitter content for display on the arena’s giant four-sided video cube, they selected the Easypromos Hashtag + Mention tool and its full-screen/slideshow and moderation features.

Using Easypromos, Red Sky at Night Events imported 45,851 social images across the 10-day tournament, hand-picked 1,500 to display on the 7.5 m screens, and published the gallery on the event website and Facebook page. The glitch-free setup engaged fans across 125,000 attendees, amplified in-venue and online interaction, and — per the client — was a major success for both Red Sky at Night Events and Easypromos.
