Vinted, a peer-to-peer clothing marketplace, was preparing to launch in the US and needed a simple, scalable way for hundreds of thousands of buyers and sellers to ship items through USPS. To integrate shipping into their app and support marketplace-specific workflows, Vinted chose EasyPost and used EasyPost’s APIs (including label generation, the Tracking API with Webhooks, Rates API, USPS International, Customs, and Refunds).
EasyPost enabled on-demand USPS label generation, real-time tracking updates via webhooks, automated reminders for unshipped items, delivery-triggered seller payouts, and refunds for unused postage—allowing Vinted to verify shipments without constant polling. With EasyPost, Vinted successfully launched its US marketplace in September 2013, scaled its US shipping operations, and went on to raise $27 million in January 2014 to fuel further expansion.
