Axel Springer SE, the Berlin-based media and technology company, needed a faster, more consistent way to create legally compliant employment references for its HR teams and managers across a complex, international organization. Working with Easy Software, Axel Springer introduced a SAP-integrated, browser-based process using EASY PCM Process2Design to reduce manual effort, standardize workflows, and support both interim and final reference requests.

Easy Software implemented electronic request and approval workflows, reusable text modules stored in SAP, and self-service access for managers and employees, while keeping HR in control of final review. The result was a much more efficient and quicker reference process, with about 5,000 employees covered and roughly 1,500 reference certificates issued per year, while maintaining a balance between standardization and individualization.
