SDIS secures a 3x3 video wall for under €500 with Easy Multi Display

The customer, SDIS 11 (a fire brigade), faced the challenge of modernizing its decade-old video wall at the Carcassonne dispatch centre without a large budget and while maintaining a strict separation between its secure Systel network and its administrative network. The vendor, Easy Multi Display, provided a solution centered on its video wall management technology and philosophy of reuse.

The solution implemented by Easy Multi Display used a low-cost combination of a 3x3 video wall controller, an HDMI capture box, and an existing laptop to reclaim the video wall for under 500 euros. A key part of the solution was the safe use of an HDMI 1.3 cable to blend the two networks on the same display without creating a security breach. The result was a smoothly driven, "bulletproof" video wall that satisfied the head of the dispatch centre, extending the life of the existing hardware and creating a robust command room.
