Earnix worked with a leading provider of home insurance products in the insurance industry, sold through both branch and direct channels. The customer was using in-house pricing methodologies based on demand estimates and segment-based pricing, and wanted to better understand the long-term operational impact of analytics-driven pricing while also reducing reliance on expensive consultants.

Earnix implemented its Solution for Insurance, working on-site with the client’s actuarial team to transfer knowledge, prepare and model data, define pricing constraints, and regenerate the client’s existing models for comparison. The project identified profitable variables and customer segments, improved price testing, uncovered mid-term cancellation risk, and enabled discount modeling; overall, Earnix delivered over £5M in year-one profit impact, equal to 2.1% of GWP, with retention unchanged, and showed potential for £9M, or 3.8% of GWP, if a constraint was relaxed.
