How EagleView imagery helped Audrain County plan mass vaccination sites for COVID-19

Audrain County, a government entity in Missouri, faced the urgent challenge of designing a mass COVID-19 vaccination site in just four days. The Director of Emergency Management needed to create a traffic flow plan for thousands of vehicles that allowed for social distancing, health screenings, and post-vaccination observation periods without causing congestion, all while accounting for recent construction at the site not visible on free mapping tools.

Using high-resolution oblique aerial imagery from EagleView, the county was able to view multiple angles of the site and draw maps directly over the imagery to plan the efficient traffic flow. This solution enabled rapid, clear communication and planning in virtual meetings. As a result, EagleView helped Audrain County successfully vaccinate the occupants of 1,500 cars at the first event and over 2,100 people at a second clinic, creating a model that was even shared with neighboring counties.
