The Town of Southampton, a municipality on Long Island, faced the challenge of performing fair and accurate property assessments on a large number of parcels, including many that were gated or seasonally occupied, making physical inspections difficult. To address this, the town turned to vendor EagleView and its Pictometry aerial imagery technology.

This solution led to the addition of $13 million to the tax roll from a single flyover, saved a tremendous amount of staff time by replacing manual permit reviews, and provided benefits to other town departments like code enforcement.
